Jimmy Barry Brown

March 12, 1942 — February 15, 2023

Noblesville, IN

Jimmy “Barry” Brown, age 80, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away and received his angel wings on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. He was born on March 12, 1942, in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia to the late James Leonard and Virginia Louise Brown.

Jimmy attended Noblesville High School where he met his wife of 60-years, Donna Jo Merideth Brown. They were married on October 28, 1962. Jimmy worked for the Firestone plant in Noblesville until 1982 after 20-years taking an early retirement to pursue his career as a full-time farmer.

Jimmy was an avid gun, coin, and knife collector. You could often catch him walking his fields and hunting arrowheads. He loved exploring new places. He was always up for a challenge. He taught himself how to weld. He enjoyed making honey, tapping trees for syrup, and restoring old cars with his son. He loved old country music and putting puzzles together. He was always up for an adventure. Jimmy had a larger-than-life personality and could always make you laugh by telling jokes. He never met a stranger and was the first one willing to help. There was nothing more important to Jimmy than spending time with his family. Jimmy had a tradition of going to the casino with his three children.

Jimmy is survived by his wife and children, Jamie (Clint) Baber, Jimmy (fiancé Michelle Fields) and Jodie (Brian) Creek; grandchildren, Merideth Baber and Jordon (Travis) Resler; grand-pup, Brady Creek, great-grandchildren Jade and Carson Resler along with extended grandchildren, Mackenna and Haley and many wonderful friends. Jimmy is survived by his beloved pet, Rusty.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, James Leonard Brown, his in-laws Raymond (Red) and Josephine Merideth, and his faithful companion of 15-years, his beloved pet, Angel.
