Jim Autry Bradshaw

Jim Autry Bradshaw, 55, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

He was born on August 26, 1963 in Indianapolis to the late Carl Autry and Joyce Anne (Gandall) Bradshaw.  Jim relocated with his family to Mississippi, where he completed his high school education from Raleigh High School.  When he moved back to the Indianapolis area he began working for Sechrest Sheet Metal and Roofing, where he learned all the skills of the trade; later becoming co-owner of A1 Cedarshake.  Jim was passionate about his work, a perfectionist.  He was hard working and self-reliant in his work and in his private life.  Jim walked with a purpose and fought until the very end.  He cherished time fishing with his son and playing his guitar.

Jim was also a Christian, and his family finds comfort in knowing they will be reunited again.  He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Marie; son, James A. (Lindsay) Bradshaw; granddaughters, Brynlynn Bradshaw and Kaiya Grubb; and step-father, Dennis Flory.  Jim is also survived by his devoted siblings, Carl Autry (Barbara) Bradshaw, Jr., Connie Lemons, Kathy Bradshaw, Sandra K. (Charles) Thompson, Vicki L. Denton, Carl E. Bradshaw, Teresa A. (David) Short and Charity Ward.  He was preceded in death by his father, Carl A. Bradshaw; mother, Joyce Anne Flory; former spouses, Tracey Scott and Debra Ann Stachowizc; brother-in-law, Mike Denton; grandparents, Jack and Viola Kirby.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.  Funeral services will take place on Friday morning at 10am, also at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family to assist with expenses.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
