Jeremiah Anthony Brinkworth

June 14, 1936 — July 8, 2017

Jeremiah Anthony Brinkworth passed away July 8, 2017. He was 81.

He was born to Jeremiah and Dorothy (Stark) Brinkworth, and raised in Buffalo, NY.

Jerry graduated from Bishop Timon High School and Canisius College, and left the Army as a First Lieutenant. He built a career at RCA, rising from salesman to VP of National Account Sales.

His gregarious laugh filled a room and everyone in it with joy. And now that laugh makes Heaven a happier place. Jerry relished anchoring the family dinner table, and enjoyed summer months in Bay Beach, Canada and winter months in Jupiter, Florida.

A man of strong Christian faith, he was a charter member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He was also a former member of the Buffalo
Canoe Club and the Columbia Club (Indianapolis).

Jerry is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of almost 59 years, Mariellen (Denton) Brinkworth; daughters Kathleen Harris and Mary (Mike) Diehr; sons Jerry (Ann) Brinkworth, Paul (Julie) Brinkworth, and David (Paula) Brinkworth; and son-in-law Bill Glockner. He leaves loving memories to his surviving 13 grandchildren; Allison, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Jeremiah, Ryan, Jared, Megan, Kyle, Spencer, Shelbi, Patrick, and Jennifer. He was predeceased by daughter Carol Ann Glockner and grandson Kevin Harris.

The family thanks Dr. Mulherin and staff of Hematology Oncology of Indiana for the special care received over the past two years.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 14th from 4 – 8 pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel. Mass of Christian Burial and eulogy will be held Saturday, July 15th at 10 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 10655 Haverstick Road, Carmel IN. Visitation at the church will be held at 9am until time of mass.
