Janice Stueve

Janice (Spielman) Stueve, 82, of Indianapolis passed away June 3, 2021. She was born January 27, 1939, in Baileyville, Kansas to Leo and Clara (Kramer) Spielman. Jan attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Baileyville High School in 1957.
On August 22, 1957, Jan married James Stueve. For 61 years, Jan and Jim built a life together and raised four children. Jan loved to be outdoors, to travel, to learn, to garden, and to compete in sports and games.
Jan is survived by her husband, James; sons, Jeff (Cathy), Joseph, and John (Christine) Stueve; daughter, Jane (Rene) Garcia; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind brother, Jerry (Sue) Spielman; sisters, Kathy (Lawrence) Kopp, and JoAnn Spielman; and many special extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan-Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave. Indianapolis, from 4:30-7:00pm on Tuesday, June 8. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 9, at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
