Janet Marie Hurst, 64, of Camby, passed away on October 14, 2018.

Janet was born January 6, 1954 in Indianapolis, to the late Clifford and Mildred Smith. She worked for Inland Container Corporation for many years, before she began a long battle with ovarian cancer. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, visits to the casino, and visiting new places sightseeing while on camping trips. The most important thing to Janet was her family and she loved family cook-outs, meals, and trips where she was able to spend quality time with her beloved family.

She leaves behind her children, Jason Hamilton, Keith Hillman, Nicole Wilson; brother, Larry Smith (Linda); sister, Darlene Hines (Robert); niece, Tina Lewis (Keith Shelley); nephew, Brian Smith; and many grandchildren and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dave Hurst.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday, October 27, 2018, with a sharing of memories to begin at 3:00pm at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN.
