Jane A. Morgan (nee Baranowski) 58 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at her residence. Jane is the beloved wife of Gregory Morgan and cherished mother of Shelby Morgan. Jane is the dear sister and sister-in-law of Harry Baranowski, Jr. and Collette Baranowski and treasured aunt of Heather and Lauren Baranowski. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anne (Dado) Baranowski and sister, Mary T. Kucia (Baranowski).
Jane was a 1977 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School in Hammond, Indiana and went on to become an integral role at Volunteers of America as an Intake Specialist and more recently received a position with the Marion County Assessor’s Office. Passionate about the performing arts, Jane was a member of the Marian Theatre Guild of St. John Church in Whiting, Indiana as a stage manager and was also active in her high school marching band where she played the clarinet.
Jane was a beloved wife, mother, sister, Godmother, aunt, and friend to many. Dedicated to her family, she cherished gatherings with her loved ones and sharing in witty banter, laughs, and love. With a passion for travel, she enjoyed family vacations to Texas and to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. In addition to her love of family and friends, Jane was an avid baseball fan with her favorite team being the Chicago Cubs, cheering the loudest during their 2016 World Series Championship. Jane also had a love for animals, community outreach, and delighted in her favorite drink-coffee. She made all who knew her feel as though they were family, she will be truly missed by so many.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018, 4:00PM-8:00PM at the Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North (2706 Kessler Blvd. West, Indianapolis); a Mass will be offered on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:30AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (3354 W 30th St., Indianapolis), with Father Michael Hoyt, officiating; interment on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11AM at St. John Cemetery (1547 167th St., Hammond). In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a men’s shelter that assists in meeting basic, vocational, emotional, or transitional needs.
