James William Hart

James William Hart, age 73 of Indianapolis passed away on January 4, 2017. He was born July 1, 1943 in Indianapolis, IN to Ralph and Hazel Hart, who precede him in death. Jim graduated from Decatur Central High School. He retired from Gibraltar Designs where he worked as a Mechanical Designer. He was a member of Valley Mills Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and Antiques and Collectibles.

In addition to his parents, Jim is also preceded in death by his son Douglas, and brothers-in-law, Dale Thompson and Richard Prasuhn. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Sue, his children, Daniel Hart and Matthew (Rhonda) Hart, sister, Patricia Thompson and Linda Prasuhn and brother, Kevin (Debbie) Hart, his loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, grandchildren, Jordan, T.J., Brooklyn, Dustin and Stephanie and great-grandchildren, Madison, Peyton, Hayden and Frankie.

Friends may visit from 4-8 PM Monday, January 9, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis. A celebration of Jim’s life will be at 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral center. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
