James Alvin Bryson, 66, of French Lick, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. He was born on October 15, 1950 in Indianapolis to the late Raymond Alonzo and Edith Belle (Heck) Bryson. Jim currently worked as a server at Chicago’s Pizza in French Lick and was well known and much loved within the community. He loved all animals, especially his dogs, JX and Jackson and cats, Lucky and Velvet. Jim enjoyed flower gardening, singing and writing his own poetry. He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Childers; brothers, Wayne and Richard Bryson; many nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Jim was preceded in death by 7 siblings; and 1 sister-in-law. Visitation for Jim will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 2-6pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Funeral services will take place Monday morning at 11am, also at the funeral home, with additional visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orange Co. Humane Society or the Springs Valley Pet Services.
