James Allen Wilson

January 27, 1953 — May 2, 2020

Carmel, Indiana

James Allen Wilson, 67 of Carmel, passes away on Saturday, May 2, 2020. He was born on January 27, 1953 in Plymouth, MI to Robert Floyd and Ethel Wilson. Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, the love of his life, Beth (Hines) Wilson; mother Ethel Wilson; siblings Carol Hibler (Don) and Robert Wilson (Paula); and nieces Emily Fiske (Brian) and Alexander Teegen (John).

Jim graduated from North Central High School in 1971. He attended Indiana University and found his professional passion in the financial industry as a stock broker. Jim served as Senior Vice President at RBC Wealth Management for many years, retiring from this position in 2016. One of his long-term clients shared with Beth, “Jim had a really generous soul, was really admired, had the biggest heart, cared deeply about his clients, and was a great broker.”

Jim fought the most valiant battle with his health over the last ten years. Personifying resilience, he tapped into otherworldly positivity, and was filled with a zest and love for life that the vast majority of us never experience. He has inspired and amazed those around him for many years with his larger than life personality. He was opinionated and boisterous, and he never met anyone that didn’t love him, or so he told us. He was a wonderful husband, son, and brother. Jim loved Nascar, Jimmy Johnson, and the Cincinnati Reds. Jim loved his pastor and his church family. He was a member of The Bridge Church for the past 10 years, and has served on the Deacon board for the last 8 years.

Due to current restrictions, a private family gathering was held at Flanner Buchanan on May 8, 2020. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bridge Church at thebridgeministries.us or the Lung Transplant Program at the Cleveland Clinic.
