Glenda Kathryn Armstrong

January 1, 1948 — March 20, 2020

Indianapolis, Indiana

Glenda Kathryn Armstrong, 72, of Indianapolis departed unexpectedly on March 20, 2020. She was born in Colby, Kansas on January 1, 1948 to the late Forrest and Mary “Kathryn” Windle. Glenda was a longtime, active member for 50 years of Franklin Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher and served in the toddler room. Glenda was selfless. She could be seen during all the church’s Easter egg hunts, Christmas programs, and other various events put on by the church. When Glenda was not serving in her church, she was working for IUPUI’s Library. She was a dedicated employee for about 50 years. Glenda lived simply, cherishing all that she had—especially her loving family. It was simple, if you knew Glenda, then you liked her. She will sincerely be missed by all the lives she has touched.

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of many years, Robert W. Armstrong; and her brother, Everette Windle.

Glenda is survived by her son, Ken Armstrong (Brandy); her grandchildren, Jace, Trent, Taylor, Lane, and Nicole; her sister, Jeanell Windle Pareso; and her adored cat, Mittens; and an extended list of very loved friends.

Glenda will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery next to her late husband. A celebration of life gathering for Glenda will be scheduled for a later date. Until then, friends and family are encouraged to leave a condolence or memory on the online guest book and view the tribute video. www.flannerbuchanan.com
