Gina L. Hughey

Gina L. Hughey, 59, entered heaven on February 7, 2021. She was born in Terre Haute, IN, in 1961 and was loved by all who ever met her. Gina knew no strangers. Her sweet, kind, mothering demeanor provided anyone she spoke with a soothing, idyllic trust. She built long lasting relationships with many friends through the years. She was known to also strike up conversations with complete strangers in the grocery line, restaurants, or any other public place!

Gina dedicated her life to her family. She and her husband Brad were married nearly 40 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by their four children. Sons Justin (Meredith) and Josh (Shanna) and daughters Cassie (Andrew) and Juliana (Zach). Between their kids they have four grandchildren: Ayla, Evie, Luna, and Arthur. Gina also has a sister Amy (Mark) and two brothers Glen (Cindy) and Randy (Tricia). She is also survived by her sweet dear Mom Darlene. Gina was preceded in death by her dad, Glen.

Gina absolutely loved the beach. She would usually take at least a couple trips a year to Florida. She enjoyed travelling and was able to go to England a few times with her family. Her green thumb was evident year after year with her beautiful garden, landscape, and flowers. She enjoyed giving anyone who asked a tour of her gardens while providing them with “starts” of any flower or bush you wanted.

Services will be on Thursday, February 11th, at 1pm at Flanner Buchanan in Carmel. Due to COVID restrictions, services will be private. For the online services click here
