George R. Duncan

Passed away peacefully July 2, 2018, in his home in North Fort Myers, Florida.  He was 98 year old. George R Duncan was born on July 12, 1919 in Lakefield, Quebec, Canada the son of William and Ethel Duncan.

Prior to moving to Florida with his son, Steve, George lived in the Indianapolis for over six decades.  George was a devout member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church, the Indianapolis Pike Township Lions Club (where he served as president for two years), and served as pastor of Park Grove Baptist Church, Beech Grove.  

George is survived by his son, Stephen (Tammy Wagner-Duncan) Duncan; daughter, Becky (Charles Nerad) Duncan-Nerad; grandson, Scott A (Carla) Duncan; and 4 great-grandchildren (Jessie Johnson, Connor Vaughn, Savanna and Sophie Duncan.)

He was preceded in death by his wife Lucy, parents; Ethel and William Duncan and two sisters; Agnes Harvey and Alma Hollenbeck.

Visitation is on Friday, July 13, 2018, from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North located at 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46228.  Funeral services immediately follow visitation at the same location.
