George Eugene Mcclellan

December 6, 1935 — January 27, 2020

Brownsburg, Indiana

George E. McClellan, 84, of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away on January 27th after battling from severe dementia.

George was a devoted husband, loving father and friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his wife, Nancy McClellan and children, Jeff McClellan and Dawn Allen. George better known as Gramps, has six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

After graduating from Shortridge High School he started his one and only career with Indiana Bell/Ameritech/AT&T. Accepting an early retirement after 35 years of service, he continued his passion for farming on his 45-acre Hendricks County farm.

He was a lifelong jokester, talented handyman and loved wintering in the Florida Keys in their motorhome.

George achieved his Eagle Scout Award in 1951 and continued in scouting as an assistant Scoutmaster who inspired his son and grandson to receive their own Eagle awards.

We will remember George as a man who dearly loved his wife and family and would help anyone to complete any project asked of him.
