Gary Wayne McPherson passed away peacefully in his home on April 4, 2020. Gary was born on August 14, 1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Howe High School and was involved in cross-country, drama, and music. He attended Butler University and was an avid member of his fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi.

Gary went on to sing the National Anthem at multiple professional sporting events. He enjoyed umpiring little league and refereeing basketball. He possessed a unique sense of humor and a passion for story telling. Gary was employed by Libby Owens Ford/Pilkington for many years and worked as a security officer at the Indianapolis Court House.

Gary was a beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. Gary was a doting father and grandfather and loved his “Sweet Baby James” more than anything.

He is survived by his wife, Adair, son, Madison (Kayla) and grandson, James, with another grandchild on the way, daughter, Andrea, step-daughters, Marie and Annette Baye, mother, Billie Jo Keith, brother, Tim and sister, Veronica Strong, stepmother, Beverly McPherson, step-siblings, Patrick Keith, Jimmy Keith, Ray Drake and Dana Glass. He was preceded in death by his father, William McPherson and stepfather, James Keith.
