Frances Lucille Blackwell

Frances Lucille Blackwell, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2018.

Frances was born on November 3, 1920 to the late Albert and Cora Wesner in Mount Carmel, IL. She was a member of Gray Road Baptist Church for many years, and she also attended New Life United Methodist and Mohawk United Methodist Church with her daughters. She loved the Lord, enjoyed painting, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with her beloved family.

She is survived by her children; Rosemary Hensel (John), Ann Friar (John), Steve Blackwell (Marilyn), Alberta Chiam (Jack); 10 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 2.5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings, her loving husband of 28 years, James D. Blackwell; son, Dan Blackwell; grandson, Bob Chambers; and grandson, Ron Friar.

A funeral service will take place, 2:00pm on Saturday, March 31, 2018 with visitation from 11:00am-2:00pm at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
