Evelyn Louise Rose

Evelyn L. Rose (Lucas), 85, of Greenwood, passed away January 2, 2018. She was born on March 27, 1932 in Premier, West Virginia as the daughter of John L. and Tamsey A. (Sanders) Lucas. She married Edward N. Rose.

Evelyn and her husband owned and operated Ed Rose Cartage for many years. She loved spending time with her family and she will be greatly missed.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Carolyn (Bill) LaFollette, Ronald (the late Patricia) Rose and Cheryl Rose; siblings, Maxine Lucas and Alfred Lucas; grandchildren, Evelyn, Susan, Pamela, Sherry, Ron Jr, Sarah, Heather, Connie and Diane; 20 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband; parents; many siblings; and grandchildren, Bobby and Billy.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 2-6pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will also be held at the funeral center on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st St, Suite #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Memorial contribution envelopes will also be available at the funeral center during services.
