Ellis E. Brown Jr.

87, Formerly of Indianapolis, died January 15, 2016 in Stuart, Florida. Ellis was born on April 26, 1928 in Oakland City, Indiana to Ellis E. and Carlena Elson Stark Brown. Ellis proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. After service, he worked as a golf professional and was a member of the Professional Golfers Association for many years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Brown and a daughter Kristen Brown McNeely. He is survived by his sons Ellis E. Brown II, Rodrick Brown, sister Shirley Belcher, grandchildren Kara McNeely, Gene McNeely, Taylor Brown, Molly Brown, Jordan Brown and great grandsons Ryan Brown and Cecil McNeely. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10am until 12noon at Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park, with services Wednesday at 12noon in the funeral center.
