Elizabeth M. (Poorman) Guthridge, August 13, 1925 – January 15, 2022

THEY ARE TOGETHER AGAIN

Beth was born in Sorgho, Kentucky on August 13, 1925. On December 24, 1944 she married Richard Guthridge in Piqua, Ohio. Together they lived a full life of love and devotion before his passing on January 15, 2017. Together they were blessed with four children Jerry (survived by Joan, Beth’s daughter-in-love), John (Mary Lou), Mary Zigler, Sharon (Rick) Chandler. Those four children gave them eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren: Suzanne (Cliff) Hardy, Caroline and Jackson; John Ryan Guthridge; Jason (Krissy) Guthridge, Justin; Joe (Kasey) Guthridge, Jake, Alexis and Alyssa; Jacob (Crystal) Zigler, Rodney, Caleb and Layna; Jessica (Christopher) Taylor; Zachery Chandler; Megan Chandler.

Beth fulfilled her dream of being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. During the transition to empty nest, she volunteered through the White Cross Guild at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. While an active member of Speedway Baptist Church she served as Sunday School Teacher and coordinated the Keenagers Group. In addition, she was a Meals on Wheels volunteer along with her husband.

While we are grateful for her 96 wonderful years, we hold on to the joy that she is reunited in Heaven with her husband Richard and son Jerry. We will forever cherish our special memories and her inspiration of love for Christ our Savior, her husband, her family and her friends.

Private graveside services will be held.
