Elizabeth H. Rollins

Elizabeth H. Rollins, 91, passed away January 7, 2021. She was born on May 23, 1929 in Henry County, Georgia to Render and Velma Holder. Liz married Harold E. “Whitey” Rollins in 1950. He preceded her in death in 2011. In 1965 Liz and Whitey moved their family to Indianapolis. Even after 56 years of living in the north, Liz called anything below 60 degrees cold.

She worked as a full-time mother until starting a career in health care in the 1970s.  She served as volunteer coordinator and later director of admissions for Americana Health Care, before retiring as the administrator of assisted living at American Village.

Liz loved Naples, Florida, where she and Whitey wintered for 20 years.  She also enjoyed gardening, bingo, happy hour, and laughing with family and friends. She was a member of Castleton United Methodist Church.

Liz is survived by her son, Garry (Julie); daughter, Suzanne Stanis (Bob); three grandchildren: Taylor Rollins (Jessica), Courtney Garrison (Joe), and Elizabeth Stanis, and three great-grandchildren.

Family will gather for a private service.  Liz asked that we celebrate her life with laughter and a toast.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ronald McDonald House or the charity of your choice.
