Dr. J. Thomas Bohnert

Dr.J. Thomas Bohnert, 86, passed away on November 9, 2016. Tom was born in Jasper Indiana to Victor andLucille Bohnert on November28, 1929. Heattended Jasper High School and went to Indiana University School of Dentistry,graduating in 1963. He served in the USArmy in the Korean War. He was active inthe community as a Boy Scout leader and coaching basketball. He never missed sporting events of his threesons, Mark, Gary, and Jon. You couldalways count on him to be the loudest fan whether it was at Nativity, Creston,Warren Central, Butler, Valparaiso, or Ball State. He is predeceased by his first wife andmother of his three sons, Joyce, and his second wife Esther.

Heis survived by his loving wife Nina, sons Mark, his wife Sue, Gary, Jon and hiswife Jennifer, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Bill, hiswife Joyce, his step daughter Beth, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dr.Tom practiced dentistry serving his many patients for over 25 years on thesoutheast side of Indianapolis.

Dr.Bohnert loved to garden as well as travelling and cooking . He was also a member of the choir at SacredHeart Parish. He was also well known tohave the unique tooth shaped pool.

Visitationwill be held 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Flanner andBuchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. There will be a funeral mass at 10:00AM, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Nativity Catholic Church, 7225 SoutheasternAve., Indianapolis, IN 46239. Burial will be in Washington Park EastCemetery.
