Dorothy Kingston

Dorothy was born to Fred and Martha Apple in September of 1927. She was a sister to Robert, Frank, Jack Apple and Martha Heathco. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and worked at Indiana Bell Telephone after graduation and through her early twenties.

She married Thomas C. Kingston in March of 1952 and they had two sons Jeffrey T. and Randolph J. Kingston. After the passing of Thomas in 2001 she volunteered at the crafts and arts department at Community Hospital East where she produced knitted and craft items sold at auctions and gift shops to benefit the hospital.

She had been a member of Outlook Christian Church since 2010 and enjoyed cooking, baking and working in the St. Simon café (70’s).

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, mother, father and siblings.

Dorothy is survived by Jeff and Artis Kingston, granddaughter Tina Kingston Hauk, and Todd Catron; Randolph and Gina Kingston, granddaughter Chelsea Kingston Pry and Steven Pry, great-grand children Regan Hauk, Nicholas Catron, Kylie Catron, Gage Catron and Jacob Catron.

Services will be 4:00 PM, Tuesday September 12, 2017 at at Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis Indiana 46229. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the service time. To leave condolences online go to: www.flannerbuchanan.com
