Donald A. Hobart

Donald A. Hobart, 83 of Carmel, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022.  Don was born December 22, 1938 in Detroit, MI to the late Alex and Jennie Hobart.  He was a graduate of Lawrence Tech in Detroit.

Don was an electrical engineer and sales partner in Fuller Engineering from 1980 until his retirement in 2010.  He was an active member, usher and volunteer at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and member of the Carmel Sertoma Club.  Along with a group of several friends, Don was an avid MLB fan, traveling and attending many baseball games at various parks around the country.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Tuesday, November 1 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 2 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where additional calling will be held from 9:30 am until the time of the service.

Don is survived by his wife, Frances “Chi-Chi” Hobart; sons, Derek A. Hobart and Christian P. Hobart; grandson, Daniel A. Hobart; sister, Karen (husband, Tom) Jankowski; brother, Butch Hobart.
