Diana Lynn Kasprowski

November 11, 1958 — February 8, 2023

Zionsville, IN

Diana Lynn Kasprowski of Zionsville, IN, passed away on February 8th, 2023 at the age of 64. Diana was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 11th, 1958, to parents, Wayne and Irene (Close) Dalziel. Diana was a proud graduate of John Marshall High School class of 1977. Shortly after graduating Diana started a family with her lifelong friend Frank Kasprowski. This was the start of Diana’s new role as a mom and eventually a grandmother. Diana’s early life was spent traveling to neighboring states where she got to watch her father who she saw as a hero compete in motorcycle hill climbs. This would be the start of her love for motorcycles. As a child through her teen years she found joy in visiting with her great grandmother (Grammy) in Bicknell, IN. There she would spend time with Grammy who taught her how to make quilts and crochet, this was a talent that she loved to share with others. There wasn’t a pattern she couldn’t master or a gift she couldn’t create for someone! She had a way with words and enjoyed writing poetry. Her mom was often encouraging her to write for Hallmark. She also had a passion for cooking, she made sure no one would leave with an empty stomach often sharing and creating recipes with others. She would watch I Love Lucy reruns to no end laughing at each punch line like it was the first time she had ever seen it. And Lord watch out cause if she found a good deal you knew she was going to be buying it in bulk! Diana was known for her singing talents impressing people with her renditions of country classics from Patsy Cline to Loretta Lynn. She enjoyed being the life of a party or just being surrounded by her many friends. But what truly brought her the most joy was spoiling her grandchildren even if it meant spending her last two cents. Before battling a hard illness Diana worked for Excel Cleaning for 16 years as well as working in the cafeteria at Zionsville Community Schools for 13 years.

Diana is survived by her father, Wayne Dalziel; her angels, Jennifer Kasprowski, Christina (Giancarlo) Sucre, Richard (Leigha) Kasprowski, and Rebecca (Adam) Cooper; Grandchildren, Landen and Lily Belle Sucre, Victoria and Savanna Kasprowski, and Abel Cooper. Diana was preceded in death by her mother Irene (Close) Dalziel; Paternal grandparents Robert and Laura Belle Daziel, maternal grandparents Marcel and Lucille Close; Uncle Robert Dalziel; Brother-in-law Theodore Kasprowski.

Diana has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: Bethematch.org or the Leukemia Society.

The family would like the thank the amazing Doctors, Nurses, and staff at St. Francis Hospital IBMT Unit/Clinic. The compassion, support, and love you gave our mother over the years helped to feed her desire to fight this disease.

Visitation will be held from 10am until 12pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Flanner – Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN). A Funeral Service will be held directly following the visitation. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
