Delorris Ann “Dee” Turner, 81, of Anderson, formerly of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019.
She was born as Delores Vittetow on January 20, 1938 to the late Paul Ambrose and Alice J. (Carmichael) Vittetow. Dee grew up in Indianapolis and attended Arsenal Tech High School before marrying Lonnie Dale Turner in 1954. She worked as a waitress in the Greenwood and Whiteland area for over 40 years. She was a lover of classic movies and TV shows; and was a devoted mother and caregiver to her children.
Dee is survived by her children, Debbie Hall, Cindy (Jeff) Shrout, Tamie Livingston, Randy Turner; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Willajean Hicks. Dee was preceded in death by her brother, John Claude Vittetow.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 11am – 1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East with funeral services immediately following. Burial will take place in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
