Deborah Lynn Griggs

Deborah Lynn Griggs, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018.

She was born on January 26, 1956 in Indianapolis to the late Charles Hamilton.  Debbie attended Howe High School where she met the love of her life, Larry Lee Griggs.  The pair were married soon after and began raising their young family in the Indianapolis area.  Debbie worked in various jobs to help support her children, working for the longest time with Robert Haines.  She loved to go to yard sales; but her greatest passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Debbie is survived by her best friend and partner of 45 years, Larry Griggs; sons, Larry ‘Moe’ (Heather) Griggs and Craig (Shawn) Griggs; 7 grandchildren, Taryn, Abbie, Shelby, Zach and Madison Griggs, Tyler and Jordan Gray.  Debbie is also survived by her siblings, Richard Hamilton, Julie Horsley and Laura Peterson.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Mark Hamilton and Champ Hamilton.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5-7pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, with a celebration of life service immediately following.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
