Deanna Kay Moore

Deanna Kay Moore, 65, of Lapel passed away June 6, 2021.  She was born December 15, 1955, in Lafayette, the daughter of the late Wayne L. and Juanita K. (Burtner) Myers.

Dee was a spunky and happy, go-lucky person that loved her animals, her sweets, Facebook, Amazon movies, live music, and most of all her family. She was loyal and took care of those she loved very well. She was proud of her family and loved them fiercely. Dee was a very hard worker, and she loved to play hard too. She liked to travel and had a special place in her heart for Tennessee. She was always planning her next vacation and loved talking about all the things she would do when she got there. Her laugh and joyful spirit will certainly be missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Carrie (husband, Ariel) Acuna; four grandsons, Alex, Ethan, Brenten, A.J.; brother, Scott Myers, and long-time companion Junior Coffey.  She was preceded in passing by her sister, Carla Craig; and a brother, Denny Hoggard.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Road.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting flannerbuchanan.com.
