Dawn Humble (Glenn), 58, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on January 9, 2020, with her children by her side. Dawn was born on March 8, 1961 in Tacoma, Washington and moved shortly after to Indianapolis, Indiana where she graduated early from Ben Davis High School. After a short time in Missouri she returned to the Indianapolis area to build a life for her and her two children. She worked as a Patient Communications Coordinator for the Surgery Center at Community East where she worked for the past fourteen years.
Dawn enjoyed a good laugh, cooking, ceramics, and making crafts with her grandchildren. She will be most remembered for her faith, her strength and resilience, her selflessness, her sense of humor, and her deep love for her family.
Left behind to remember and celebrate Dawn’s life are her children Daryl Humble (Autumn) and Amber Higgins (John), her sisters Martha “Marti” Marfia (Don) and Lisa Glenn (William “Bill” Dahm), and her grandchildren Emily, Jane, and Harper.
She is preceded in death by her parents Laurel “Buck” Glenn and Charlotte Glenn (Schubert).
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46222.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Flanner Buchanan.
Dawn will be laid to rest at a later date next to her mother and father at Holy Cross Cemetery.
