David Wayne Hinkle

David Wayne Hinkle, 52, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019.

He was born on March 6, 1967 in Greensburg, IN to William W. Hinkle and Anna Ruth Hinkle Decker. David was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School and worked most recently as a welder with Yamaha Marine Precision Propellers. He was extremely talented and was considered a top welder at his current job, as well as his previous jobs with Genesis Casket and Master Air.

David was also a gifted artist with a knack for drawing and an engineering mind; always the first to riddle out a solution to a problem or the ability to understand how something worked by taking it apart and putting it back together. He loved to work with his hands and was a proud tradesman. David was satisfied to live a simple life, and as long as he was able to be a provider for his family. He was a selfless, devoted family man, who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother; his loving wife of 29 years, Karrie V. (Black) Hinkle; his favorite daughter, Kaysie (William) Tejada; his other favorite daughter, Emily Hong; and his favorite son, Nathan Hinkle. David was also the proud Papa to Angel Tejada, Owen Hong and Jayda Bandy-Tejada. His siblings, Sheila Hinkle, Brian Hinkle and Dawn McGuire have lost their fun- loving brother; and his many nieces and nephews will forever miss their favorite ‘Uncle B’. David was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 11am – 1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park with funeral services immediately following. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
