Daniel Wayne Mccarthy

Daniel Wayne McCarthy, age 67, of Indianapolis, IN died on Friday, April 12, 2019 at his residence after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born on November 19, 1951 in Indianapolis to the late Michael and Irene (Silbernagel) McCarthy.
Daniel enjoyed life to the fullest and was well known for making people laugh.  The “life of the party” he loved to joke and tease those around him.  He was an avid bowler and played softball and baseball.  In the 1970’s he served on the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department.  He loved anything outdoors including camping, fishing and boating.  His favorite places to go were Lake Monroe and Cataract Falls.  He was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 29 years, Nancy Lynn McCarthy; children, Paul Daniel McCarthy, Timothy McCarthy, Charles (Cristina Ramos) Clifford, Shannon Clifford, Justin (Bridgett Pressley) McCarthy, Sean McCarthy and Kaitlin (Garith Wisdom) Barnes.  Twenty- Four grandchildren, Brandon McCarthy, Jacob McCarthy, Kristin McCarthy, Dustin McCarthy, Devin McCarthy, Grace McCarthy, Avrie McCarthy, CJ Clifford, Corryn Clifford, Dallas Deputy, Peyton Deputy, Olivia Deputy, Sabrina Clifford (fiancé Christopher Coleman), Malachi Gibson, Elizabeth McCarthy, Seth Greene, Jordynn Rhoden, Shawn Kyle Clifford, Jayden Heim, Christopher Barnes, Andrew Barnes, Kaylyn Barnes, Benjamin Wisdom and Adalyn Wisdom; 4 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis (Donna) McCarthy and Michael McCarthy.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Shawn Clifford; brothers, Patrick and Steve McCarthy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park.  Service will be on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
