Daniel Clark English

Daniel Clark English, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019.

He was born on August 2, 1952 in Schenectady, NY to the late Forrest Smith English, Jr. and Ruth Ellen (Newhart) English. Daniel grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from North Central High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1974.

Daniel lived for over 30+ years in Marion, Indiana under the care of Genesis Place. The staff there, including Susan Thomas, provided him with all the support he needed, until his poor health brought him home to Indianapolis. Daniel recently had been living at Rural Healthcare and his family appreciates the love and compassion he received from the staff during his last years of life.

When he was younger, Daniel was always active and was well known in the Marion community for his walks around town. He was very comforted by music and enthusiastically supported all the local sports teams.

Daniel is survived by his step-mother, Cookie English; brothers, Mike English and Thomas (Debbie) English; niece, Sallie (Jared) Smith; and her children, Aaron and Olivia Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 12-2pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis with a graveside service immediately following in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
