Dana D. Kincaid

Dana D. “Dan” Kincaid, 67 of Carmel, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016. Dan was born September 20, 1949 in Indianapolis, where he lived until moving to Carmel in 1979.

Dan was as a very proud “Hoosier”, and graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 1971. Dan spent the majority of his professional career working as a “jack-of-all-trades” supporting his family’s businesses, which included the development of business parks, hotels, and other real estate ventures in the Fishers area. He also served as president of Globe Business Products, and was an active and impassioned real estate broker, with clients all over Indiana.

Dan was a man of many interests, including classic cars and 1960s music, with a collection of 10,000+ albums. Dan frequented many concerts, and was fortunate to see his favorite group, The Beach Boys, several times. One of Dan’s life-long passions was photography, and he spent much of 2006 and 2007 chronicling the theater productions at Carmel High School, for which Dan was honored as Outstanding Volunteer. Recently, Dan was serving on North Central’s reunion committee, which had just started planning the 50 year class reunion.

Although constantly busy with work and hobbies, Dan spent every summer with his family at a quintessential New England resort, where he enjoyed tennis, sailing, and getting lost in vintage book stores. Dan will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 26 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 27.

Dan is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cindy; daughters, Whitney Kincaid, Ashley (husband, Bryden) Cory and Kelsey (husband, Adam) Kamykowski; grandson, Theodore Cory; mother, Winnie Kincaid; brother, Randy (wife, Gail) Kincaid. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Kincaid and brother, Ronald Kincaid.
