Dan Dugger

Danion T Dugger (known by family and friends as Dan, and also as David), 46, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on May 4, 2017. He was born in Indianapolis on March 21, 1971 to Fred Dugger and Marguerite du Boulay. Dan graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He was a talented software development engineer. His perfectionism and incredible work ethic helped him to win professional accolades, including an award for his contributions to the United States of America’s national defense. He loved deeply and was committed to his family, wife and children, grandmother, siblings, cousins and parents. He and his father shared an especially close bond. He shared his talent and passion for science and learning with his two girls. He also mentored other young people, instilling in them his enthusiasm for technology. Dan was an adventurous cook and a master of the barbeque. He also loved the beach. He and his family enjoyed annual vacations to South Padre Island, Texas and he had a special love for St. Lucia, where many of his surviving family members live. Dan considered, challenged, asked and discussed thought-provoking questions. Dan was always quick with banter. He loved to kid around and make others laugh, and his family all enjoyed his quick wit and sense of humor. He had a caring, loyal and generous heart. Dan was a wonderful husband and father, and will be greatly missed.

Dan is survived by his parents; his wife, Annice Willard; his daughters: Katherine (Kate) Augusta Dugger and Josephine (Josie) Marie Dugger; and his siblings: Dawn Krone, Rachael du Boulay, and Rebecca Dugger.

The celebration of Dan’s life will be on May 12th at Little Flower Church (4720 E 13th St, Indianapolis, IN 46201). Visitation will start at 10 AM with a memorial mass at 11 AM.
