Connie Joann Childs

Connie Joann Childs, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 10^th, 2021. She was born in Burkesville, KY to the late Frank Henson and Knoxie Olean (Stockton) Lackey on November 16^th, 1954.

Connie was a dedicated mother who worked hard to provide for her family. She worked in retail for Lane Bryant for many years in their shipping and receiving department.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Lee Childs Sr.; brother, Terry Lackey; sister, Stacy Lackey.

She is survived by children, Keith Lackey (Wilma) and Donald L. Childs Jr. (Ashley); grandchildren, Cassandra and Joseph Gonder; three great-grandchildren;  siblings, Sue Bentley, Nancy Brown, Brenda Mullinix, Jimmy Lackey (Rita), Shirley Thompson, JR Lackey (Sharon), Marie Manuel (Carl), Theresa Mcfarland, Kim Lackey, and Billy Lackey; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E.Washington St. Indianapolis, from 11AM-2PM with funeral services to begin at 2PM.

Connie will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
