Clara Faye Jacobs, age 85, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018. Clara is the daughter of John Osborne and Mattie Rose Jones. Clara was born December 10, 1933 in Ritner, Ky and is a member of the Lick Creek Baptist Church, Ritner, Ky. Clara joined Charles Jacobs in holy matrimony July 17, 1954 and have lived the past 52 years in Fairland, IN. Clara worked for Mallory’s for 3 years before becoming a full-time homemaker and mother. She loved to fish, knit and crochet. Clara was a volunteer for the Greenfield hospital for 22 years and accumulated over 3,500 hours of volunteer work.
Clara is survived by husband Charles Jacobs, daughters Carolyn Evans, Marna Shuppert and Michelle Clifford. Sisters Joyce McCutcheon, Clova Rains and Ruth Nance. Brother Floyd Jones, 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Daughter Sharon Haynes and brother Boyce Jones proceeded Clara in death.
Funeral will be held at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park North Cemetery. Visitation hours are Thursday, December 20, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral is Friday, December 21, 11:00 AM.
