Charles Edward Norris

Charles Edward “Chuck” Norris, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016. He was born on January 7, 1934 in Burkesville, KY to the late Jonie and Callie (Blythe) Norris. Chuck worked as a mechanical engineer for the State of Indiana for over 25 years. He was well known as a fiddler, having played at the Grand Ol’ Opry at the age of 7 and winning the Kentucky State Fair Fiddling contest at the age of 9. Chuck was also a local act for the Little Opry in Nashville, IN and opened for several well- known musicians. He is survived by his children, Timothy (Lisa) Norris, Sheri (John) Moore, Paul (Michael Ross) Norris, Shawn (Johnnie) Fugate; 6 grandchildren, Zach (Courtney) Mink, TJ (Danielle) Norris, Daniel Moore, Andrea Fugate, Lyndsey Norris, Matthew (Cameo) Moore; and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Norris will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 11am – 2pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park.
