Catherine E. Smith

Catherine Ellen Smith, age 69, who served in the USAF for 7 years stateside and abroad, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. As a civilian Catherine worked with the Army Corp of Engineers in North Carolina and retired from the USDA APHIS Endorsement office, where she worked as an Import/Export clerk. Catherine was a philanthropist, author, and artist all of her life. Being a true believer in Jesus Christ, Catherine departed from this life on September 17, 2022, with her son, David Smith by her side. She is also survived by brothers Paul and Michael Smith and sisters Anna Davenport and Gloria Solomon.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022, with funeral starting at noon at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway at 2950 N High School Rd. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
