Carolyn "Carol" Hensley

Carolyn “Carol” Hensley, 81, of Indianapolis IN, passed away on December 19, 2022. She died at home, surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born on July 14, 1941, to George and Lorena Fulcher of Petersburg IN. She is survived by her husband of almost 21 years, Amos Hensley. Daughters Shannon Skaggs and Teresa Ormond. Stepsons Ron Hensley, Tim Hensley, Rickey Hensley. Brother Frank (Bud) Fulcher, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by Noel Thompson (husband) and Jeffrey Thompson (son).
Carol was a warm and loving woman. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and Aunt. She always had a hug ready for everyone and treated them just like family. Carol was intelligent, loving, wise, kind, fun, giving, and loved hosting family events. She loved playing games (cards, dice, and dominos) and was always typically winning. She also loved to read romance books. Spending time together with family and simply feeding people were her favorite things to do. She had tremendous love and respect for all of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Funeral service will be Friday, December 30, 2022, at 1 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
