Caroline Sue Wraley

December 19, 1936 — April 12, 2018

Indianapolis, IN

Caroline Sue Wraley, 81, of Indianapolis, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Her family finds comfort in the fact that she is at peace, and no longer suffering.  Caroline, or Sue as she was known to many, was born on December 19, 1936 in Indianapolis as the 14th of 15 children born to the late Leo and Elizabeth (Lynch) Wildrick.  She attended PS #21 and Arsenal Tech High School.  Sue was a hard worker and retired from RCA after 31 years of service.  She was a longtime member of Hunter Road Bible Church and was a faithful Christian woman, sharing her faith with others any chance she could.  Sue was an avid researcher of the Wildrick family history and genealogy and enjoyed travelling to 12 states to visit members of her cherished family.  She loved the outdoors and treasured the special moments she had with her family, especially in her last days.  Sue was a kindhearted and selfless woman, always putting the needs of other before her own.  She was a genuine, compassionate person who was also generous of spirit.  Sue will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, caring grandmother and great-mother, thoughtful sister and aunt, and a friend to all she met.

She is survived by her daughters, Susie Stratton, Sharon (Rick) Madison, Shirley (Doug) Havlin; grandchildren, Heather, Kimberly, Billie, Falynn, Kayla, Karra, Katie; great-children, Sam, Lennon, Raeleigh, Reci, Stratton, Seamus, Davis.  Sue is also survived by her siblings, Jo Ann, Bud, Don, Nava and Eleanor.  Sue was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, George, Bob, Katherine, Mildred, Chick, Alice; 2 infant brothers; husband, Robert William “Bill” Wraley; granddaughter, Randi.  If Sue were here today, she would ask you to invite Jesus into your heart.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 5-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.  Funeral services will take place Tuesday at 10am, with additional visitation 1 hour prior.  Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
