Carol Shea, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away July 10th, 2022. She was born September 8th, 1949, in Washington, DC, to parents Carl and Margaret (Smith) Carder.
Carol graduated high school in Salem, Virginia.
She worked as a supply clerk at Naval Avionics for many years.
Carol was a vibrant, lovely woman. She was very crafty, and a talented quilter. Carol enjoyed day trips, especially to antique malls. She curated many collections throughout her life of trinkets, glassware, and beyond. She loved to shop, and after discovering the joys of online shopping, she was a loyal Amazon customer. Time with her friends was very important to her, and she loved her girl friends. Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She will be greatly missed by all.
Carol is survived by her daughter Kathy (Joe) Baker, sons Brian Spangler, Christopher (Stephan) Ziegler, and Stephen Palmer; grandchildren Hayden Baker, David Palmer, Phoebe Palmer, and Joshua Palmer; sister Bobbi Carder Childers of Kentucky, and brother Bruce Carder of Tennessee; and her beloved canine companion Sassy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband Johnny Spangler, 2nd husband David Palmer, and her boyfriend Paul Moore.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
