Carol Oshiro Stevenson

Carol (Oshiro) Stevenson, 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Hilo, died peacefully January 23, 2023. Born in Hilo, her parents were Masao and Shizue (Kawauchi) Oshiro. A 1961 graduate of Hilo High School, she graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a degree in Music Education.

Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph Stevenson of Indianapolis; her daughter, Sandra (Jeff Schroeder) of Indianapolis, and her two brothers, Howard (Karen) Oshiro and Lester (Stephanie) Oshiro of Hilo.

In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Carol was a dedicated legal secretary for more that 30 years at Barnes and Thornburg. She enjoyed quilting and creating beautiful items for family, friends, and charities. She enjoyed music, reading, and cheering for her favorite teams throughout her life.

Visitation at 12:00 PM EST February 18, 2023, at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Services at 1:00 PM EST.
