Carl Martin Dankert

Carl Martin Dankert, age 66, died of natural causes on October 4th, 2022. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Amber Dankert, his son Brian Dankert, his mother Juanita Rankin, and his sister Doris McCoy. His granddaughter is Evelyn Dankert.

Carl graduated from Carmel High School and attended Huntington College and IUPUI. He also earned three degrees from ITT Technical Institute. He was in the Army National Guard as a lab technician from 1989 to 2002 and graduated from sniper school. He worked as a biomedical technician, most recently at Medtronic in Plainfield, Indiana.

Carl was active in local dancing groups including Indy Dancers, Continental Dance Club, Any Swing Goes, Ron’s Sunday Night Dance, and Charlotte’s Greenwood Dance. He was a member of Northview Christian Church at the Westfield campus. Whenever possible, Carl loved to be on the road riding his bike.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Drive, Carmel, IN 46032. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
