B'Wana LaToy Brooks

B’Wana LaToy Brooks was born on February 23^rd 1979 to the union of Charles and Patricia Brooks in Fort Hood, Texas. LaToy received her formal education at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, IN.  She furthered her education at Ball State University and IUPUI in Muncie and Indianapolis, Indiana. Toy accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Eastern Star Church.  She was employed by Eli Lilly as an Associate Consultant – Clinical Trial Manager for six years and has spent much of her career devoted to the advancement of medical research. In her leisure, she enjoyed crafting, traveling, spending time with family and friends while serving as the life of the party! B’Wana LaToy Brooks departed this life on January 29^th, 2022. She was preceded in death by: her father Charles Oliver Brooks, maternal grandparents Idella and Alfred Wingate, paternal grandmother Doshia Mae Brooks, great grandmothers Maddie Chambers, Precious Roberta Horton Brooks, Bessie Sanders and Amanda Allen, Uncles Lorenzo Sanders, Paul Brooks Jr., Norman Andre Brooks, Gregory Theodore Brooks, as well as cousins and other relatives she loved dearly. She leaves to cherish her memory:  mother Patricia Brooks of Indianapolis, grandfather Paul Nathaniel Brooks Sr. of Hickory, NC, brother and sister-in-love Darius and Shauntel Brooks of Indianapolis, sister Olivia Brooks (Darryl) of Stockbridge, Georgia, nieces Breanna Michelle Brooks, Daylin Rae Brooks, Rylie Camille Brooks and nephew Darius Lamont Brooks Jr. of Indianapolis, Beloved pets Simba Leroy Brooks, Nala Josephine Brooks and puppy nephew Ryder Michael Brooks- Leach, Her Boro family, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends whom she cherished dearly. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250.  Funeral services will be held at the same location on Wednesday, February 9th, beginning at 12:00 PM, with additional visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service.  Interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
