Bonnie M. Chastain

Bonnie Marie (Powers) Chastain, 79, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on May 13, 2021.  She was born on February 11, 1942 to parents, Durward E. and Margaret C. (Lewis) Powers.  Bonnie attended Marion High School and graduated from Concannon High School. She then attended Indiana State University.  Bonnie worked for as a property manager at Keystone Crossing Company during her career and was a secretary in the Shopping Center Division of the F. C. Tucker Company.

Bonnie was a member of  the Milestone Car Club, Old Car Social Club and the ChryslerCar Club. She also served on the Home Owners Association board of Windridge Condominiums. She enjoyed family, her cat Zeus,  traveling, knitting, boating, fishing and her Frog Leap cabin in Spencer, Indiana.

Bonnie’s was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Chastain and her parents. She is survived by her son, Donald E. “Ted” Ellis (Tami); grandchildren: Laura Ellis, Katherine (Katie) Ellis and Megan Ellis-Blasingame  and great-grandchild: Zayden Blasingame.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held privately on June 5, 2021.  Memorial contributions may be made to: Cat’s Haven, The Wounded Warrior Project or Lucci’s House Bully Rescue.
