Betty Jo Bryant

Betty Jo Bryant (Pitzer), age 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017. She was born on November 9, 1934 in Indianapolis as the daughter of Tony A. and Irene C. (Worton) Pitzer. She married Harley C. “Bill” Bryant and became a loving wife and mother.

Betty was born and raised in Indianapolis. She and Bill moved to Los Angeles, California and lived there for 28 years before returning to Indianapolis. Betty enjoyed being an active member of Rocklane Christian Church in Greenwood. She also enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Betty will be lovingly missed by her children, Deborah (Dan) Hickman, Patricia Reed and Tony E. (Jessie) Bryant; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and one more due next month; and 2 great great grandchildren with another one on the way. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Rev. William Bryant.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 11am until 2pm at Rocklane Christian Church, 4430 Rocklane Road, Greenwood, IN 46143. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery.
