Betty Jean Jones

Betty Jean Jones, 89, of Indianapolis peacefully left this world on February 25, 2018 surrounded with loved ones at her home in Indianapolis.

Betty was born in Indianapolis to Frank and Bernice (Ladd) Drury on September 12, 1928.  She married Richard Jones on January 10, 1946.  She enjoyed home cooking, listening to music, watching old western movies, cross-stitching, boating on Raccoon Lake, and most of all family get-togethers.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Richard Jones; siblings, Bernice Williams, Joe Drury, Nona Goodman, Frank Drury Jr.; great granddaughter, Shanelle Rist; and her grandson Wayne Weir.

She will live on through her sister, Sandy Wethington; six children Diana Pointer, Darlene Carpenter, Patsy Pedigo, Carol Weir, Shelly East, and Richard L. Jones; in addition to 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 28 great great grandchildren.

She will be laid to rest with her husband at West Ridge Cemetery in Indianapolis.
