After graduating from Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis, IN, Betty married Floyd William Graham, and they had two daughters, Mary Christine Graham (Olney) and Sherry Lee Graham (Bowles). Betty worked at Standard Grocery store until they moved to Greenfield where they purchased a farm. Betty loved being a homemaker, raising their two daughters, and caring for many animals that included everything from hamsters to horses. She was an amazing and creative cook, baker, sewer and gardener. After her divorce in 1976, Betty went to work for Kroger Grocery as a meat cutter in Greenfield, IN. She worked at Kroger for many years until she left to start her own house-cleaning business where she worked hard and was quite successful.
Betty was a Christian and loved Jesus. She was a faithful servant who took in many people without hesitation during their trying times that needed love and support. She always opened her home and heart to those in need (including animals). She was a generous giver even though she did not have a lot herself. She was a grandma known as Nanner, and she absolutely adored her grandson. She had a tremendous sweet tooth and was never without sweets in her home to share with others. She had the gift of hospitality. She was witty, she was feisty, and she was strong!
She is survived by her daughter Christy Olney and her husband Craig; daughter Sherry Bowles and her husband Keith; grandson Graham Bowles.
