Betty Jane (Phelps) Sprowl

Betty Jane (Phelps) Sprowl, 93 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018. She was born on December 19, 1924 to the late Lelah Gladys and Fred W. Phelps.

Betty’s greatest joy was spending time with her family as they would travel, go camping, and play board games. She also enjoyed golfing, reading, listening to music, and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts. Betty had a passion for animals, wildlife, and birdwatching.

Betty was preceded in passing by her loving husband, Roy D. Sprowl and her granddaughter, Paula Kulow.

She is survived by her children, Diana Pelham, Roy W. Sprowl, and Rick (Edna) Sprowl; her grandchildren, Donna Page, Jeff Zumpe, Teresa Harrell, and Cheryl Sprowl; her 11 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway, 2950 N. High School Rd., from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Betty’s final resting place will be at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
