Barbara Grace Mitchell

Barbara Grace Arnold Mitchell, 80 of Indianapolis, passed away on June 16, 2017. She was born April 3, 1937 in Indianapolis to Oscar and Bessie Frances Arnold. She is a longtime member of Bridgeport Central Baptist Church where she was very involved with caring for others. She helped with funeral dinners and with the food pantry. She was very devoted to her family, making sure they had a good life. She was a happy person who enjoyed sewing and doing for others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Donald Arnold and a grandson, Matthew. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Richard E. “Bud” Mitchell, children, Kathy (Frank) Monk, James (Patricia) Mitchell, Tina (Thomas) Graham and Lisa (Jimmy) Falk, grandchildren, Terisa, Richard, Donald, Amanda, Emily, Jessica, Jacob, Jason, Adam, Marty and Lacey, great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Timothy, Julian, Kenton, Brody, Brandon, Jolie, Braelynn, Nathanial, Kane and Kaius and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit from Noon until service time at 2 PM, Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis 46222. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Bridgeport Central Baptist Church Food Pantry or Mars Hill Free Methodist Church.
