Barbara Brown

Barbara J. Brown, 92, of Franklin, IN, passed away February 29, 2020. She was born on August 30, 1927 to the late Bernard and Pansie Bankert Dewees in Bridgeport, IN.

After graduating from Ben Davis High School, Barbara went on to work in retail management and later retired as an executive secretary working in insurance.

Barbara is survived by her four children, James C. (Sandra) Lee, Marilyn (Mark) Thiess, Debra (Allen) Chamberlain, Marsha (Thomas) Edmunds; 15 beloved grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; multiple great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Alan Dewees; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Brown; daughter, Linda Colip; son, Ronald (Sue) Brown; and brother, Bernard Dewees Jr.

A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229, on Friday, March 13th, 2020 at 10:30AM.
