Ann Elizabeth Thurston

Ann Elizabeth Thurston, age 51, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed peacefully and with dignity, surrounded by her loving family on September 15, 2016.

Born April 10, 1965 in Indianapolis to her parents, Max and Eleanor (Linden) Thurston, Ann grew up on the north side of Indianapolis and graduated from North Central High School. She attended Vincennes University and later became an EMT for Wayne Township; a career she cherished.

Ann is preceded and welcomed into heaven by her father, Max Thurston and is survived by her very awesome son, Tyler; her mother, Ellie, loving siblings Tim (Becky), Marcia (Gavin Roberts), and Jim (Mandy), five nephews, and three nieces.

Her family extends a very special thanks to all the caregivers at Community North Hospital and in particular to Dr. Sumeet Bhatia, her oncologist.

Visitation will be held at Flanner and Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46250 on Wednesday, September 21 from 4-7 pm. A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 22 at 1 pm with internment immediately following.
